I am writing this for my 91 year old mother. Coventry has been the worst provider I have experienced in my entire life---the choice of providers is limited and poor in quality; the services for support and in-home care following hospitalization are a joke---PT limited to number of days initially authorized and then required to re-apply for service on a continuing basis. We submitted claims for patients but we are not paid. The EOB states codes are wrong, modalities that are covered by patient's plan are not covered, etc. Our codes are correct and the modalities are covered. When customer care is called, they claim that they don't know anything and claim should be resubmitted. When we do this, we still do not get paid. They have a good *** going. My wife and I tried to add our newborn to our policy and after days of phone tag and email tag we finally had a list of what Coventry needed and a number to fax all the info in. Why they can't take scanned copies in pdf form I'll never understand because that is exactly the same thing, but I digress. To whom it may concern, I am writing this because my healthcare has become a problem. I have a difficult time getting referrals from my primary. I get calls several times a week from Apria trying to sell me their products. I receive expensive medications in the mail that I do not want but forced to pay for. I agree, Coventry is the worse health insurance out there. I sent messages via their website requesting assistance and NEVER received an email or phone call from them. I am cancelling my insurance with them.

Had to get health insurance for my wife. Coventry was recommended by agent on healthcare.gov website. Coventry found any reason to deny any of her health claims. Those that they paid on some claims to the provider, they later took the money back.The premiums that we paid them were a total waste of our money. The net result of all this was we were left with over 10,000 dollars in unpaid claims last year. The insurance commission should... Read more

Horrible Horiible Horrible Health Care Insurance. They deny the majority of claims they recieve for medical services. Would NOT recommend.

I will keep this short and sweet. After every single claim I have received a bill from the my lap and primary care physician after Coventry had raised my premiums over $100.00 bring my total premium to over $560.00 per month. I have spoke to these people over and over again and every time I go for my 6 month check up they coverage seems to change and I get billed for something. Well, I am done, done, done. We pay for individual insurance for our kids. We went with Coventry One because of the appealing feature of kids getting dental benefits with their health benefits. Only to find out that the dentist has to be in-network or they will give only a bit of money for out of network. I still stayed with them as last year the out of pocket money was still worth going to the out of network dentist. They changed their policy on amount they would pay... Read more

My husband and I are going through the same with Coventry one. I canceled the policy in July 2015 and July 2016 my husband realized that he was charged almost 300 dls. We call our bank and told us that Coventry made 10 charges the same amount from September 2015 through July 2016. They have stolen the amount of 2,500 dls.
